Understanding epilepsy

This is a half-day certificated course that expands on the themes discussed in the awareness talk. This course is designed for anyone working with or caring for someone with epilepsy. You do not need previous epilepsy training as this course will give you a thorough introduction to the condition.

Our Epilepsy Friendly Award (EFA) recognises businesses and organisations that have made adjustments to ensure that they are as accessible to people with epilepsy and have trained their staff to respond appropriately to seizures.

Epilepsy awareness talks

This awareness talk provides a brief introduction to epilepsy.The talk will include video footage of different seizure types demonstrating how subtle some seizures can be.Attending one of these talks will help you develop the skills to react sensitively and effectively if someone has a seizure.
