Epilepsy Scotland Press Release:

Mothers Pride® breakfast treat for National Epilepsy Week

From 16-22 May, leading charity Epilepsy Scotland wants households to show their support to 55,000 people who live with epilepsy by tucking into Mothers Pride® bread at breakfast time.  During National Epilepsy Week in May, the public can join in the Breakfast for Epilepsy campaign alongside the staff at the Hovis® Glasgow bakery who are personally donating the proceeds of their fundraising breakfast to Epilepsy Scotland for its vital work and services.

Epilepsy Scotland Head of Fundraising Robyn Friel said: “We are collaborating with Hovis® to raise public awareness of epilepsy up and down the country.  National Epilepsy Week presents a wonderful opportunity to encourage our supporters and the general public to share their breakfast with Mothers Pride® and talk about epilepsy.  The Scottish Plain loaves carry information about the charity and are wrapped in our purple and teal tartan design.   We are also inviting people to take a Selfie with their breakfast which can be shared on Epilepsy Scotland’s social media.  This is just one of many fundraising and awareness activities which families, supporters and the public are welcome to take part in to mark National Epilepsy Week this year.”
