Tracy Christine and three close friends from Newton Stewart are planning to climb Ben Nevis on Saturday 4 October to raise thousands of pounds for Epilepsy Scotland, which helps Tracy’s daughter Leah aged 6.

The four women, who have never climbed before, are champion fundraisers. They have already fundraised £7,000 in just nine months for Scotland’s national epilepsy charity. Arlene Broll, Patricia McMaster, Mandy Gilmour and Tracy agreed to undertake this challenge to raise funds and greater awareness of the condition.

Tracy said; “Now the climb is almost here I feel really nervous, but also excited. It will be emotional when we make it to the top. I am so proud that the four of us have managed to raise this amount of money, it is amazing how our small community have supported us in raising thousands for this worthwhile cause close to our hearts.”

There is still time to make a donation to Team ‘Ben Nevis’ by visiting
