This is a half-day certificated course that expands on the themes discussed in the awareness talk.

This course is designed for anyone working with or caring for someone with epilepsy. You do not need previous epilepsy training as this course will give you a thorough introduction to the condition. The course includes information on:

Causes of epilepsy
Differential diagnosis
Types of epileptic seizures (epilepsy symptoms and signs of epilepsy)
Seizure Triggers
Treatment
Implications of epilepsy
First aid guidance for managing seizures
Emergencies and when to call 999

This course is certificated and valid for 2 years.
