We are very pleased to announce our latest #SWOT lunch with the amazing Debbie McQuat at Ralph Finns Restaurant on Friday 28 March at 12pm.

Debbie McQuat is almost an identical twin, and the ‘almost’ is part of a remarkable story of resilience and determination. Despite being born missing the bottom part of her right arm and leg, she has embraced life’s challenges with unwavering strength.

Growing up with her twin sister, Vicky, Debbie found inspiration in her sibling’s achievements, striving to excel in everything she pursued. She underwent the first of her surgeries at four years old, removing toes from her limb and shaping her into a resilient individual who never saw her physical difference as a limitation but rather as a source of strength.

In recent years, Debbie has achieved remarkable feats, including climbing Ben Nevis, Mount Teide (the 3rd highest volcano globally), and walking the length of Tenerife. Her challenges aim to raise funds for children with limb differences to attend camps in Tenerife, providing them with life-changing experiences.

Despite facing physical hardships, Debbie’s unwavering spirit drives her to overcome obstacles and inspire others. Her dedication to inclusivity and philanthropy exemplifies her belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their differences.
