Help with benefits - Epilepsy Scotland

Due to overwhelming demand the Welfare Rights Service has unfortunately had to close their books to any new clients or new issues at this time. We will update you when the books are open again.  Meantime if you require any assistance with your benefits you should contact your local Welfare Rights Agency or Citizens Advice Bureau.

If you are an existing client with an ongoing case please continue to update the Welfare Rights Service regarding your case by contacting the office on 0141 427 4911.

Having to apply for welfare benefits can be a stressful process for anyone, but if you have epilepsy you may face further barriers and challenges.  For that reason, we would always advise anyone with epilepsy to seek professional advice before applying for any type of benefits to increase the chances of a successful outcome.

Our welfare rights officers can provide information, support and assistance on benefits issues such as helping to identify benefits you may be entitled to, completing applications with you, and assisting with appeals.

We aim to cover as much of Scotland as we can, but may be limited by practical and resource considerations, as this service is based in our Glasgow office.  We may also be able to provide general information on benefits and assistance by telephone.

This service is in high demand, and there may be a waiting list. For enquiries and available appointments, please phone 0141 427 4911.
