This September, we’re inviting you to take on the Miles in Memory challenge — a powerful way to honour the lives lost to epilepsy in Scotland, raise vital funds, and help create change.

Every year, around 200 people in Scotland lose their lives to epilepsy. Whether you take on this challenge in memory of a loved one, or in remembrance of all those who have been lost, your miles will help keep their memories alive.

The Challenge

Cover 200 miles throughout September — however you choose.
🚶 Walk it. 🏃 Run it. 🚴 Cycle it. 🏊 Swim it. Or mix it up.
Take part on your own, as a team, with friends or family. The journey is yours.

We’re asking you to raise £1 for every mile — that’s £200 to honour 200 lives.

How it Works

  1. Sign up by emailing fundraising@epilepsyscotland.org.uk and commit to your 200-mile challenge. You will receive a t-shirt with a personalised in memory tag, wildflowers to scatter along the way and support in planning your miles.
  2. Track your progress throughout the month of September.
  3. Fundraise as you go — share your story and why you’re taking part.
  4. Finish strong, knowing every mile made a difference.

Why It Matters

Too many lives are cut short by epilepsy. By taking on Miles in Memory, you’re not only paying tribute to those we’ve lost — you’re helping fund vital support services, raise awareness, and drive change across Scotland.

Together, we can remember — and make a difference.
