Youth Development Worker

Hours: 28 per week

Salary: £16,952 pro-rata

Epilepsy Scotland has an exciting opportunity to join our growing Youth Services team.  We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic person to join us as a Youth Development Worker in our new Glasgow Youth Group. 

The post holder will help to establish the new group in Glasgow.  They will also offer individual and group support to young people aged 11-20 with epilepsy ensuring targets are met in line with the Epilepsy Scotland’s strategic plan and funding requirements.  

The main duties and responsibilities include working with young people on an individual and group basis to facilitate peer contact, provide information on epilepsy issues and to support with the transition into adulthood.  

This post is funded by Young Start, delivered by the National Lottery Community Fund until 2022 and Shared Care Scotland Better Breaks in 2019/20.

Trust Fundraiser
 

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh
Hours: 35 hours per week
Reports to: Fundraising Manager

Epilepsy Scotland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trust Fundraiser to join our dynamic Fundraising Team.  The function of the Fundraising team is to generate income to meet the needs of the organisation. The post holder will foster links with funders, corporates and work closely with project delivery staff.  

You will be responsible for raising unrestricted and restricted income in line with annual targets.  You will be able to develop and support a portfolio of existing charitable trust and foundation partnerships as well as research and develop a strong portfolio of potential funding sources.

Part of this role involves identifying and submitting applications for corporate charity partnership opportunities.  

Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of achieving fundraising targets as well as experience in researching, planning and reporting to Trusts and Foundations.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with funders, have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and excellent research and analytical skills.
