Assistant Youth Worker
Edinburgh based, part time/sessional

We are looking for an enthusiastic and fun youth worker who can help raise the self esteem of young people with epilepsy.  You would be assisting in the running of weekly groups (Wednesday 5.30pm – 8.30pm), a summer project (3 weeks of up to 24hours per week) and possibility of bi-annual residentials with sleepovers.

Weekly groups can include being in the office (eg self-esteem building workshops, art workshops, etc) and trips out for social activities (eg Go-karting, bowling, cinema, canoeing, climbing, ski-ing, bushcraft etc).

This is an extremely rewarding job working with inspiring young people affected by disabilities between the ages of 11 and 19.  Experience preferred, but we will interview anyone with passion and commitment to improving the lives of young people.
