Policy Work : Work Together

Community Health Partnerships (CHPs)

CHPs are being established by NHS boards across Scotland as a way of integrating NHS and joint services. The functions of a CHP are to “co-ordinate, for its area, the planning, development and provision of those services which it is the duty of the NHS Board to provide, or secure the provision of, with a view to improving those services” (Community Health Partnerships: Consultation on Guidance, Scottish Executive, July 2003).

CHPs do this by linking clinical and care teams, by working in partnership with public bodies and the voluntary sector and by involving the public, patients and carers.

Epilepsy Scotland work in partnership with the CHP Managers Network for Scotland, providing a national voice for people with epilepsy.
