Nightrider Glasgow 22/23 June 2019

Summer solstice challenge

Sign up for a summer solstice challenge, on the shortest night of the year when the light is longest….and see the city from a different perspective.  You can choose one of the 50K routes: from the heart of Glasgow, west and north, round Clydebank, Bearsden, Hillhead and out to Parkhead – or south and east, to Newton Mearns and Cathkin Braes, passing Ibrox on the way….or go for the full 100km route and go everywhere!

We have charity places available -  if you are interested and don’t want to miss out, sign up now here or get in touch with Margaret at mtooth@epilepsyscotland.org.uk, or phone the fundraising team on 0141 427 4911.  Last year the event raised over £4,300 and we would love to match that this year!  In taking a fundraising place, you agree to raise at least £200 for Epilepsy Scotland.

As there are two routes to choose from, you can suit your fitness level and go at your own pace - the event is not timed, so relax and enjoy the sights!  Or speed along, just remember the traffic lights ….   We will provide you with a fundraising pack and t-shirt to wear on the night.

What else is included?

  •  Fully signposted route
  •  GPS file of the route (nearer the event)
  •  Break stops every 25km, snacks, water and breakfast (Bacon or veggie sausage and a hot drink)
  •  Hi-viz vest (you will receive this on the night of the event)
  •  Cycle number & bike number
  •  Medal
  •  Bicycle mechanics
  •  First aid support
  •  Security staff, central control number to deal with any problems

You need to provide your bike and bike insurance, cycle helmet (compulsory), favourite snacks and energy drinks and spare change for emergency spare parts.

Sign up now to support Epilepsy Scotland and help us beat last year’s total!
