Want to know more about epilepsy ?

Do you want to know more about epilepsy? Then pop into the Quaker Meeting House, 7 Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh anytime between 7 – 9pm on Tuesday 13 May. There’s free information, advice and Epilepsy Scotland’s Helpline staff to answer questions. Plus details of support and training by our national charity to help 40,000 Scots with epilepsy.

Communications Manager Allana Parker explained: “This kind of event is really informal and a good way to find out more about epilepsy. People can pick up the epilepsy information they need and also talk in greater detail if they want. We hope people will come and share their experiences and tell us what’s needed for the Edinburgh area.”

Pat McErlean, who helps Epilepsy Scotland’s support group, welcomes this event in Edinburgh. He remarked: ‘A lot of people out there don’t even know there is a local epilepsy group.  Everyone who comes to our meetings either has epilepsy or cares for someone who does. So we understand the pressures of living with this condition.  The more people can talk with each other about epilepsy, the less fearful we’ll be about it.’

Epilepsy Scotland runs a rolling programme of public awareness-raising events across the country. You can bring along any number of friends, family and carers!
