Release date: Thursday 27 September 2007

Want to know more about epilepsy?

All those interested or wanting to know more about epilepsy can pop into the Tower Building, at the University of Dundee.  On Thursday 27 September, from 6pm to 8pm there will be free information and advice available in room G8.  Epilepsy Scotland Helpline staff will be there to answer questions and highlight the range of support and training courses provided by the national charity.

User Involvement Officer Dave Budd is encouraging people living in and around Dundee City to come and talk about local epilepsy services and to find out about Epilepsy Scotland’s activities.  He said: “This information evening offers the chance for people to share experiences of what’s needed for Dundee.  We want people to tell us what we can do to help and also discuss other changes they would like to see.”

You can speak to epilepsy specialist nurse, Angela Norman, representatives from Family Action for Children with Epilepsy and Epilepsy Scotland’s staff and local support group.  This information evening is part of a rolling programme of public awareness-raising events across the country.  There’s no limit to the number of friends, family and carers you can bring along!

Ends
