Want to know about epilepsy?
All those interested or curious about epilepsy can pop into the Station Hotel anytime between 6pm and 8pm on Wednesday 28 March for some free information and advice. Epilepsy Scotland’s Helpline and web staff will be there to answer questions and highlight the range of support and training courses provided by the national charity.
User Involvement Officer Dave Budd is encouraging people living in or near Dumfries to come and tell us about local epilepsy services and to find out about Epilepsy Scotland’s activities. He said: “This Information evening offers the chance for people to share their own experiences of what’s needed in the Dumfries area. We want to hear what you think we can provide and people can also tell us what changes they would like to see.”
People can speak to benefits advisors informally. They can learn about Dumfries and Galloway NHS epilepsy services for families living this common serious neurological condition shared by nearly 40,000 Scots. People can also talk privately with Epilepsy Scotland’s staff. This information evening is part of a rolling programme of public awareness-raising events across the country. There’s no limit to the number of friends, family and carers you can bring along.
