The Joint Epilepsy Council of the UK and Ireland (JEC) is an umbrella charity providing a representative voice and working for the benefit of anyone affected by this condition. The JEC have produced treatment plans and protocols for the administration of emergency medication. These are available from the JEC and are included in the guidelines on training standards for the administration of buccal midazolam and rectal diazepam.
