This course will enable you and your staff to get a better understanding of what child protection is about and the processes involved. They will then be able to see how these fit in relation to their role in your organisation.
The course is aimed at anyone who works in the care sector ie nurseries, playgroup, support workers or volunteers.. This is an introductory course and you need no specific child protection skills.

The course is delivered by Michael Adair who is a qualified social worker and nurse with over 30 years' experience, a significant part of which was involved directly in child protection teams in inner London and part of the duty system in Edinburgh. Michael was also a trained children’s panel member and has been Epilepsy Scotland’s child protection co-ordinator for 5 years. Michael is an experienced trainer and practice teacher in social work. Course length: 10am to 4pm
Cost: £35, if delivered at either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices; or
£250 plus travel expenses if delivered at your workplace up to a maximum of 15 participants
