Firewalk challenge

Can you feel the heat?

Following the success of our first ever Firewalk in 2012, Epilepsy Scotland are delighted to announce that this year’s Firewalk will be held on 29 September 2013 at our Glasgow HQ on Govan Road.

We are looking for brave supporters who are willing to bare their ‘soles’ and walk 20ft over burning hot coals to raise money for the 54,000 children and adults living with epilepsy in Scotland.

Last year’s participants couldn’t believe how much they enjoyed the event. Epilepsy Scotland Services Manager Debbie MacKinnon said; “It was such an empowering experience, I would recommend it to everyone and would do it all again without hesitation.  The atmosphere was energetic and uplifting.”

Each Firewalker gets two hours of training before stepping onto the burning coals. Friends and family are very welcome to come and cheer you along as you achieve what you never thought was possible.

Last year our walkers raised £4000 – a tremendous amount, and with your help we can increase that total.

It only costs £20 to register and secure your place for the Firewalk, and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £120 sponsorship. The fundraising team at Epilepsy Scotland can help you reach your target and are on hand to help if you have any questions.

If you would like to be part of our next group of fearless fire walkers please get in touch with the fundraising department on 0141 427 4911 or email fundraising@epilepsyscotland.org.uk
