Guy Fawkes Fire Walk

Can you feel the heat?

16 brave ‘soles’ walked across burning hot embers for their favourite charity, Epilepsy Scotland!

The group have raised a magnificent £3,500 so far, and are aiming to reach a staggering £4,000 by the end of this month.

After two hours of training with an experienced firewalk mentor, our courageous bunch were invigorated, confident and excited!

A bed of smouldering wood at Epilepsy HQ was prepared and ready, the atmosphere was heightened with primal beats provided by the lovely ladies of the Buchanan Street Drummers. Family and friends provided cheers and applause around the firebed, and one by one our group of plucky supporters paced across the blazing path.

Taking part, Epilepsy Scotland Services Manager Debbie MacKinnon said:

“It was such an empowering experience, I would recommend it to everyone and would do it all again without hesitation.  The atmosphere was energetic and uplifting.”
