Feedback from AGM Workshop, October 2006

AGM 2007Members commented on the past, present and future of Epilepsy Scotland at an AGM workshop.

The management team looked at every comment that had been made.  We related these to Epilepsy Scotland’s strategic and operational plans, agreed by the Board.

We were encouraged to discover that almost all the comments on the present organisation and its future role fitted with something we currently are doing, or plan to do.

The workshop forms part of the continuing dialogue that staff and the Board are having with members, other people with epilepsy, their families and carers, medical and social care professionals, other voluntary and statutory bodies, politicians and policymakers.  As a small organisation we have chosen to focus limited resources on the aims and objectives that are most likely to achieve the best results for people with epilepsy across Scotland.  We are interested in services being available to meet needs.  While in some cases it will be Epilepsy Scotland who provides services directly, at other times these will be supplied by other organisations.  What is important to us is that services are available, either now or as soon as possible in the future.

This feedback was important the passion with which points were expressed shone through in the comments that were made.
