Get Involved
Young Peoples Group
Are you a young person aged between 18-25 ish? Epilepsy Scotland is supporting volunteers who have a group that might just be for you.
The group aims to provide a framework for young people with epilepsy to meet up, to socialise and enjoy life in and around the Glasgow area.
Below are some points the group feel are important. As a member you’ll have:
- The ability to pay for activities. The group decides what they want to do – it has no funding.
- A degree of independence; If support is needed the person can be nearby. But it was felt important that they are not physically part of the social group
- Willingness to participate
- Willingness to take part in deciding what the group will do (the group decides – but it will not have a specific leader), to offer ideas and suggestions
- Willingness to respond and contact the rest of the group, even if this is to say you can’t attend
