Regular Giving

Your regular giving donations allow us to plan ahead. Regular giving is crucial to the future development of our services.

You can arrange to give a regular donation to our work through payroll giving or by standing order. We are currently unavailable to offer direct debit, but plan to have this in place by the end of 2006.

Payroll Giving

Give as you earn, or payroll giving is a simple, tax-free way to support Epilepsy Scotland. Give As You EarnEach time you are paid, a donation amount that you choose is deducted by your payroll department before tax is calculated.

How does it work?

Donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you give will only cost you 78p.

For example, if you are a basic rate tax payer:

  • You donate £5 to Epilepsy Scotland
  • You actually only pay £3.90
  • The taxman will add £1.10 - at no extra cost to you
  • Epilepsy Scotland will then receive £5

If you are a higher rate taxpayer then it will cost you even less to donate £5 to us.
Some employers offer 'matched giving' schemes where they match or double your gift at no extra cost to you. This means even more money will go to Epilepsy Scotland.
