Running & Walking

Edinburgh Marathon

Whether you are a super-fit athletic type training for a marathon or simply fancy raising some money by hillwalking with the dogs, there are walking and running activities for people of all abilities to get involved in.

Edinburgh Marathon

We are looking for determined runners who feel ready to face the 26 miles of the Edinburgh Marathon on 27th May 2007, or take part in the Loch Ness Marathon in October 2007.

The Edinburgh marathon is now regarded as one of Scotland’s premier sporting events and is a great chance to test your endurance and develop some fundraising skills!

The Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point-to-point route through miles of breathtaking Highland scenery. Our fundraising team can send you an information pack on each event and suggest ideas for raising sponsor money. So stretch those muscles and call 0141 419 1707 today.

Running & Walking

Great Scottish Run

We are also looking for bighearted sporty types to run in the Great Scottish Run and raise vital funds and awareness for people with epilepsy across Scotland.

The next Great Scottish Run takes place in September 2007 in Glasgow and passes by some of the city’s most famous attractions before finishing on Glasgow Green. Runners can either do the full half-marathon race or a special 10K route and there is a 3K Junior race for younger athletes. Anyone wishing to participate in the Great Scottish Run on our behalf can call 0141 419 1707 for further details and an application form.

Do Your Own Sponsored Walk

We are always seeking supporters of all ages, shapes and sizes to pull on their trainers and help Stamp Out Stigma by doing their own sponsored walk (or cycle !) in aid of Epilepsy Scotland.

From a saunter round the local park or a walk into town, to a hike along the West Highland Way or even climbing a Munro, all participants need to do is choose a route within their capabilities and go for it – raising funds and enjoying themselves in the process.

We can provide you with sponsor forms, help with publicity and fundraising support - just call the Fundraising department for more information.
