Recycling

Recycling Appeal

Not only does recycling help protect our environment but it also helps raise money from items you would otherwise throw away.

We have teamed up with eco-friendly Redeem Plc:

So you can easily recycle printer cartridges, mobile phones, PDA’s, Palm Pilots and Blackberries while raising funds for our work. If you have any of these to recycle don’t throw them away, recycle them!

If you want to recycle a printer cartridge from your home printer or want to start a recycling campaign at your place of work and give the profits to Epilepsy Scotland, call the fundraising department on 0141 427 4911, or email: fundraising@epilepsyscotland.org.uk for more details.

We can help with supplying return envelopes for cartridges, phones and PDA’s, or if you have a minimum of 20 cartridges, organise for them to be uplifted. All items sent for recycling must be clearly marked with our account number 705567, or we will not be credited with your returns.

Recycling works for us. Why don’t you give it a try and help us raise much needed funds.

Epilepsy Scotland is currently a member of two special consortiums:

Bighearted Scotland

Bighearted Scotland was formed in 1994 when Scottish based charities decided to work together in the fundraising field.

The six charities who make up Bighearted Scotland are Epilepsy Scotland, Alcohol Focus Scotland, Child and Family Trust, Penumbra, Scottish SPCA and Sense Scotland.

All the charities continue with their own fundraising activities but come together to organise and promote certain events that they would not have the resources to do individually. One such event is the annual Bighearted Scot of the Year Awards, which honours the ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others or raise money for charity.
