Cross Party Group

Working with politicians in Scotland

The purpose of the Scottish Parliament Cross-Party Group (CPG) is to address the needs of 55,000 people with epilepsy in Scotland.  It brings together all those interested in epilepsy issues and provides Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) with information and access to expert opinion. Epilepsy Scotland provides the Secretariat to the CPG on behalf of the Epilepsy Consortium Scotland.

Members are committed to raising public awareness and parliamentary action in addressing health service provision, epilepsy awareness in education, employment concerns, and social inclusion.  Meetings are normally held in January, April and September. For further membership details and minutes of meetings please go the group’s page on the Scottish Parliament website http://www.parliament.scot/msps/epilepsy.aspx  or email the secretariat at atonberg@epilepsyscotland.org.uk
