Anti epileptic drugs are used to treat epilepsy. They do not cure epilepsy but can help stop seizures from happening. Most people with epilepsy who take epilepsy medication will not have seizures. There are lots of different anti epilepsy drugs. The kind given will depend upon the type of epilepsy the person has as well as possible side effects and lifestyle issues.
